I Love it

I found this over at plaid web site http://www.plaidonline.com/apFolkArt-Outdoor.asp. It could be used a cake stand or any kind of tabel centerpiece and would not be expensive to make. This makes me ready for spring time. Hope everyone has a good New Year's Eve and a great New Year.

I can't believe christmas has come and gone. You can see Santa was good to us and I hope he was good to you too.

Red, White and Green

My Dining room is finallydone. As you can see the room is done in Red, White and Green.

The table runner I made last year with some fabric I had laying around and that is when the red and white came into play for my color scheme. I didn't get a picture but on top of the china cabinet in the garland I have letters that spell out Joy that I cut out with my cricut and painted them red.

Here is my thrift store find that I bought for 2.00. I painted them silver and they made it to the table as part of the centerpiece.

Birthday Plate

This is a plate I made for one of McKenzie's friends birthday and of course it's made with vinyl!!

So for $0.13 I got the tile at Home Depot and the wrapping paper from Target for $1.00

Don't you just love the dollar section!!! I got this last year in the dollar section at Micheals. I just found it again and thought it was little too plain. Don't you just love what a little paint pen can do. I am beginning to become such a fan of paint and spray paint. Enjoy

Polar Express

Today McKenzie and I went on a field trip to the Polar Express. I was not very impressed with it but the kids seemed to enjoy so that is all that matters.

Christmas Canvas

So what can I say.. I love the cricut and VINYL. I am decorating for christmas this weekend and I made this for my mantel. I painted it red with the polka dots and then cut the "S" out of green vinyl. This was my first time to do something large and am so excited with how it turned out. Thanks for looking.

My baby ..

Boy how time flies.. I can't believe that my baby will be 6 1/2 at christmas this year. I found this picture of McKenzie at her 1st christmas.

It's Up

The tree is up and the lights are on. Tomorrow McKenzie and I are going to decorate after we go see Disney's A Christmas Carol.

Oh Christmas Tree...

Yes! It is that time again. My tree will be coming out of the attic tonight . My dad is coming over just like he does every year. My plan tonight is for the tree to come out of the attic and be put together and get the lights on it. Needless to say the christmas music will be playing loudly at my house tonight. I will post pictures of the progress and the final product. I hope everyone has a great weekend!

Ever Wonder...

What it would be like to if you got to get up every day and do something that you love? I do and wonder everyday if I will ever have a chance to do that one day. In this day and time I am very greatful to have a job but it in no way is it what I LOVE to do. Just a thought that crosses my mind as I get ready for another monday. Hope everyone has a great week !!!

So this is my latest project...my nasty,rusty mailbox. I had to scrape the stickers off of it. I just so happen to have a can of spray paint in the storage room and yes there will be vinyl involved. I hope to post the finished projects tomorrow.

Have you ever ...

Just had those times where you just feel like nothing is going your way. That is my time right now. I just don't feel happy at work but of course right now is not the time to look. I just feel so unahappy with everything. I think it's just that time of the year. This friday October 23 will be 8 years since my mother passed away. I think it's like know it deep down but it's not in the front of my mind. I may have some the things with vinyl on them to come soon. I everyone has a great rest of the week.

I made a sippy cup for my cousin's little girl and out McKenzie's initial on her Hand Sanitizer bottle for her in her school colors. Like I said I am addicted to vinyl.

I can't believe

That is been 10 year ago today that I married my great and wonderful husband. I have been a very lucky girl. We are on an anniversary road trip. We left home yesterday drove up thru Gatlinburg,TN and got on the blue ridge parkway and drove to Ashville,NC. This morning we got up and went to the Biltmore. What a beautiful place that is. Then we went on a slight hike to the highest point east of the mississippi river and WOW. To say the least we have been busy. Tonight we are spending the night in Marion, NC. Tomorrow is just a driving trip. We will get back on the blue ridge parkway which has been soooo pretty and drive to Roanoke, VA and then on to DC on Monday and Tuesday. I will post pictures when we get back.

Happy Sunday !!

It's a rainy sunday around here today. It feels so much like fall and it is a nice change. Anyway my cousin let me borrow her cricut expression and vinyl.. yes her vinyl. So I made some cute water bottles for me, McKenzie the girls across the street and a little girl at school. I love them. McKenzie's is in the dishwasher right now to see how it holds up . Keep your fingers crossed. Today I have had 2 people say they want to buy them but I don't want to sell them if they don't last. Have a good week and enjoy the pics..

Oink..Oink

The pig has bitten twice in my house and McKenzie and Jonathan have the swine flu. McKenzie was diagnosed on Friday and Jonathan today. Me I have an upper respiratory infection. It's crazy in our house. Atleast I was given tamiflu so maybe I will not get it. I will keep you posted. I will be off work tomorrow and then back on Tuesday

Concerts

So I just realized that since I posted McKenzie has been to 2 concert. We saw the Jonas Brothers on August 16th and Taylor Swift on September 11th. The Taylor picture are not as good as the Jonas Brothers. Their stage was in the round and Taylor's wasn't so we were further away. Enjoy

Brownies

Let me just say that Wow I did not know that it had been 2months to the day today since I last posted. I know have a busy 1st grader and have become the brownie troop leader. Our 1st meeting was last Thursday. It went great and can't wait until the next meeting. I thought I would post a few pictures from that meeting.

Rainy Day...

So I just went into the living room and this is what I found. McKenzie asleep in Jonathan's chair. She had been listening to her "ipod"(disney mix stick). She couldn't watch TV after she got home from summer camp because she got in trouble last night.

Jonas Brothers

.. are big in our house. Tonight McKenzie and I are having movie night and watching Jonas Brothers The Concert Experience. We went and saw it in the theatre but now we have it on DVD. We also have our own glow sticks just like we are at the concert. We are doing a countdown til we goe see them in concert in August. Hope you have a good weekend.

American Girl Day
